At flatfair, we’re always working to make renting simpler and more flexible — and that means listening closely to tenants.
Recently, many of you shared helpful feedback on Trustpilot about the way No Deposit payments were split evenly between tenants. While the system worked, it wasn’t always ideal for families or couples managing finances from a single account.
Here are a few of the comments that out:
“Everything works well, the only thing I didn't like was we had to pay the deposit half and half, which as a family is not ideal when bills come out of one bank account.”
“When a married couple is taking a home, it is better if there is an option to make payment together, instead of two separate payments with two separate cards.”
“Difficult to see the point of requiring dual payments for a married couple.”
We took that on board — and made a change.
Now Live: Pay for All
Now tenants on a No Deposit plan can choose a new way to pay: One tenant can now pay the full No Deposit fee for the entire household. This sits alongside the existing split-payment option, giving you more choice and control. What this means:
- More flexibility: Ideal for families and couples managing shared finances.
- Less hassle: No need to use multiple cards or coordinate individual payments.
- Your choice: Pay separately or have one person pay for all.
This update was built directly from what tenants told us — and we’re grateful for every review and suggestion. We’ll keep listening, keep improving, and keep making renting fairer and easier for everyone.
