Adam Ali, flatfair Partnership Manager, to present at NALS seminars

This year, the National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS) will be hosting two seminars, featuring presentations by Adam Ali, flatfair’s Partnership Manager, alongside Richard Tacagni of London Property Licensing.

From October 1 this year, the legal requirements surrounding mandatory HMO (House in Multiple Occupation) licensing are changing. This means that this license will apply to all ‘house shares’, where a property is being rented out by at least three people who are not from one ‘household’ (eg a family) but who share facilities like the bathroom and kitchen. To help lettings agents (and, in turn, their landlords) understand these changes better, NALS has organised two seminars, one on Wednesday 5th September and the other on Friday 14th September, sponsored by flatfair and Kerry London.

Richard Tacagni of London Property Licensing, and an expert in property licensing law, will be guiding attendees through the new HMO licensing requirements to make sure no-one is at risk of breaching the new regulations. Adam, meanwhile, will be giving attendees an overview of the current UK deposit alternative landscape and how flatfair offers a technology-based solution to the affordability issue around deposits.

“I’m looking forward to meeting letting and management agents who are looking for a new way of doing things in terms of tenancy deposits to modernise and differentiate themselves,” explains Adam. “There will be plenty of opportunities for people to ask questions about flatfair, and deposit alternatives, in general at each seminar. It’s a great way to spread the word about the benefits that deposit-free renting has to offer all parties and answer any queries people might have.”

There’s still time to book for both seminars, so if you’d like to come along, send an email to info@nalscheme.co.uk and they’ll be in touch.
