Earlier this month, Ben Yexley and Adam Ali, flatfair’s Partnerships Managers, attended the Guild of Property Professionals’ annual conference at the QEII Centre on London’s South Bank, followed by its prestigious awards party… and they’re still buzzing.

The conference was extremely well attended, with a record 450 participants perusing the stands and attending a number of interesting talks from speakers including Sally Lawson, CEO and Founder of National Lettings Franchise. Hot topics included the upcoming Tenant Fee Ban and the proposed five week deposit cap, making flatfair’s offering more relevant and compelling than ever.

“There was a lot of discussion around the risks landlords could be facing in the light of upcoming legislation – and, as a result, a lot of interest in flatfair’s offering of up to 12 weeks instant cover,” explains Ben. “We had the privilege of talking to members from right across the Guild’s network, from those with individual offices, to others with multiple branches.”

The conference was followed by the Guild Awards ceremony, where 43 bronze, silver and gold awards for sales and lettings, and two special awards, were presented by British TV presenter, Rachel Riley and Iain McKenzie, CEO of The Guild. To round off the celebrations, attendees headed to the after-party on a boat on the river Thames.

“We’d like to extend our congratulations to all the award winners, and we’re delighted that flatfair is one of the Guild’s platinum partners for the year,” says Adam. “It was a terrific event from start to finish, and Ben and I are looking forward to further meetings with a number of Guild members we met throughout the course of the day.”
